Job Summary
Kaaterskill Associates is seeking a full-time Drafter to support both the Engineering department and Land
Survey department. This position is responsible for preparing mapping, base plans, project drawings, and
related materials based on field data and project information provided, in accordance with firm standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage drafting and mapping tasks while
communicating effectively with survey staff, engineering staff, field crews, administrative team members, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate mapping, base plans, project drawings, and related materials using field data, GIS
resources, deeds, and other project information.
• Complete assigned drafting and mapping projects accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with firm
standards.
• Support both the Engineering department and Land Survey department with drafting, mapping, file
preparation, and project documentation.
• Process, organize, and maintain field data files, Survey Department files, project files, and company
records as needed.
• Download, upload, and prepare files for survey crews, engineering staff, and project teams.
• Ensure field data and project files are downloaded and properly saved at the end of each day.
• Assist with project setup, including deed research, base mapping creation, and file preparation.
• Coordinate with the Survey Technician, Executive Assistant, survey crews, engineering staff, and senior
management to support project progress.
• Assist with managing project schedules, including fieldwork timelines, drafting deadlines, and drawing
delivery schedules.
• Help manage the field schedule and coordinate with other departments to fulfill survey and engineering
needs.
• Meet with clients, take client calls, and assist with managing client expectations as needed.
• Occasionally join the field crew or travel to project sites to perform field edits, verify information, or assist
with field-related mapping needs.
• Perform other duties assigned by Senior Management and technical staff.

Job Summary
Kaaterskill Associates is seeking a full-time Licensed Land Surveyor to lead and manage the Survey Department. This position is responsible for overseeing survey operations, supervising and training staff, ensuring quality control, managing project schedules and budgets, and maintaining strong client relationships.The ideal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with field crews, office staff, clients, other departments, and senior management. This role requires a New York State Land Surveyor License and five years of post-licensure experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Survey Department, including supervision, training, work assignments, workflow coordination, and quality control of departmental work products.
• Oversee all property line determinations for survey projects and ensure all surveys meet company standards, quality control requirements, and applicable professional standards.
• Review topographic surveys, boundary surveys, maps, and related survey deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee survey field operations, including field procedures, crew training, and compliance with company standards or better.
• Manage survey data, records, correspondence, project files, and related documentation.
• Maintain client communications and client relationships in coordination with Senior Management and other management staff.
• Schedule and coordinate field and office survey work, including coordination with the Engineering department and other internal teams.
• Assist with project estimates, contract preparation, budget tracking, and overall project cost management.
• Coordinate with other departments, attend project management meetings, and work closely with Senior Management on project priorities and department needs.
• Assist the Director of Operations with marketing efforts as needed, including prospect meetings, trade shows, home shows, and related business development activities.
• Occasionally attend Planning Board meetings as part of the project team or for smaller projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Job Summary
Kaaterskill Associates is seeking a full-time Professional Engineer to support the Civil Engineering department, with additional collaboration alongside the Land Survey department. This position is responsible for preparing civil engineering design drawings, project plans, reports, applications, and submittal materials in accordance with firm standards and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple project components while working collaboratively with engineers, surveyors, field staff, administrative team members, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain civil engineering drawing sets in accordance with firm CAD standards.
• Draft and design projects for the Civil Engineering department, with secondary support to the Land Survey department.
• Prepare subdivision layouts, site plans, roadway designs, utility layouts, grading plans, stormwater management plans, sewer and water designs, land development plans, and onsite septic system designs.
• Prepare presentation drawings, project exhibits, and related materials as needed.
• Assemble components of agency submittal packets, permit applications, and related project documentation.
• Conduct site visits for soil testing and field evaluations as needed.
• Perform construction inspections on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis.
• Assist with AutoCAD drafting and preparation of design drawings.
• Support the Engineering Department with report writing, agency applications, field work coordination, scheduling, and other project-related tasks.
• Coordinate with all departments to support successful project completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Engineer, Principal Land Surveyor, Senior Engineer, or Director of Operations.
